I decided to try the three-day emotional healing reset with Janie at a time when I felt completely burnt out, overwhelmed, and I was struggling to manage my anxiety and think clearly. From the very beginning, I felt cared for by Janie, listened to and completely supported. The techniques she used have helped me feel calmer, more grounded and importantly, much more confident in myself. By the end of the three sessions, I felt blissful — something I hadn’t experienced for a long time! I came away feeling lighter, more positive and much more enthusiastic about what the future holds. I would wholeheartedly recommend Janie’s sessions to anyone who feels overwhelmed, anxious or simply like they’re struggling to cope. The experience was genuinely cathartic for me and helped me understand and address grief I was carrying from many years ago, finally letting me feel at peace. I booked a Reiki session with Janie to help relieve persistent back pain that just wouldn’t shift. Physiotherapy exercises weren’t making much difference, so I decided to try Reiki, hoping it might help on a deeper level. Janie worked her magic and I left feeling lighter after unexpectedly releasing some emotions I hadn’t realised I was holding onto, and by the very next morning, my back already felt looser. But it wasn’t just the Reiki itself that made such a difference - it was everything else Janie brought to the session too and the way she held such a safe space for me, her warm and welcoming nature, and the wisdom she shares so effortlessly! My friend, who has completed all levels of training with Janie, recommended the Level 1 training to me and it certainly lived up to my friend's recommendation. It is a beautiful and life enriching training and I would certainly recommend it to others. I have now completed three reiki trainings with Janie and all of them have been amazing. Each time the experience deepens and the results have improved. The training courses up to and including Master Level have been interesting, very thorough and really enjoyable. The supporting documentation is always beautifully presented and easy to read and understand. I had a great experience with janie, after struggling with some things in life and not feeling myself, I got to the point where I needed help, janie was so easy to speak to and explain all my problems when having a havening session, the techniques she uses are brilliant and every time I see her or leave i feel so much better and it's like a big weight gets lifted off my shoulder. This was my first experience of Reiki and it exceeded my expectations. Janie is so talented and her healing feels like magic. Janie made me feel comfortable and relaxed. The room had a beautiful scent and gentle music playing. It didn’t take long for me to settle and begin to feel the effects of her healing crystals and techniques. I felt like a was floating but yet deeply aware of the connection and impact Janie was having. I’ve never been so relaxed and switched off. I still feel so serene. Before moving to Cheltenham I had a Reiki healer , so I'm familiar with the process in general. Janie was warm, informative and reassuring, and the appointment was both relaxing and soothing. I recently attended L3 Reiki training with Janie, also my teacher for L1 and L2. Janie is warm, welcoming, and creates a safe space for learning. This enabled me to have positive experiences where I felt heard and comfortable to share. When I first came in to see Janie I was feeling overwhelmed, anxious and a bit lost in life. I found it hard to pinpoint the problem. What can I say other than Janie really is incredible at what she does. An utter god send to me during a turbulent time of navigating through a divorce and deciding my next steps in life. I regularly have reiki with Janie which I find helps me feel calm and able to cope with life’s struggles. OMG I love Havening and Janie Whittemore is amazing at it. I’d not been sleeping easily or been emotionally well since my Dad died after months of quite traumatic ill health and terrible hospital experiences. I’d been able to logically rationalise everything and cope ‘well’ day to day. I was functioning ’perfectly fine’ for everyday life. But the moment I closed my eyes to sleep or allowed myself some headspace I couldn’t stop thinking about how scared and in pain my Dad was. And how scared I was for him. And the anger I felt for the care he received in hospital.  I couldn’t talk about it because I kept bursting into tears. (I don’t like crying in front of other people). I was crying at the news and when other people told me emotional stories - whether sad or happy. I couldn’t recall happy memories of Dad, of which there are many. On Friday I had a Havening session with Janie and I left feeling light and free. I’ve now had five nights of good sleep and waking up with no intrusive thoughts and most importantly all the wonderful memories of Dad are re-emerging. I can thoroughly recommend Janie, she is a wonderful and intuitive therapist. She is very personable and has a lovely gentle demeanour that is calming and quickly puts you at ease. If you are looking for healing services, I cannot recommend Janie highly enough. Within as quickly as an hour of leaving our havening session, I felt much lighter than I had done in ages. Janie is the most wonderful teacher, I attended both centres in Cheltenham and Cirencester for my Reiki Training L1 and 2. If you are thinking of learning Reiki, I couldn’t recommend her more. It has made a huge difference to my life and during my journey of giving Reiki, have seen wonderful changes in my clients. I had a wonderful day with Janie on the Reiki Level 1 course.  The whole day was extremely well organised, based in the immaculate location of the Cotswold Academy, where the welcome was warm and professional.  Janie guided us through our introduction to Reiki, with both theory and hands on experience.  She covered the day with excellent timekeeping but was also sensitive to any needs to pause, explore or ask questions where relevant.  Her years of experience shone through.  It was the perfect start to exploring how Reiki can be of use in my life. If you’re not sure how it might be useful for you, I’d suggest you take a day to find out! I recently did a Reiki Level 2 Refresher with Janie, which was a follow on from the original L2 course I did back in 2019.  Janie is always has a positive and friendly approach and you can't help but come away uplifted from spending time with her, even if you didn't do any reiki!  The refresher day was just what I needed to reconnect with my reiki and spend time with like minded people.  Janie geared the day to our needs and focused on what we wanted to get from the course. I feel very lucky I was recommended to try Reiki and also to find lovely Janie. I feel she has relieved / released such a lot within me so far and I do feel much calmer after carrying such a heavy load mentally and physically. I would like to leave a review for this amazing lady and share my thoughts with anyone who will come across searching the Internet for guidance. I was a mess before I contacted Janie. I am going to a very difficult stage in my life and my past traumas has made this even more challenging to cope with. I was desperate  finding someone like her (genuine) to help me. Janie is very gifted and knowledgeable, she will take her time to listen and actually go to the bottom of the roots. I felt very safe and by the end of our session there was a lot of my anxiety that managed to dissappear.  This is not a magic wand, but she  is magic trapped in a human body! How I felt after was like I was floating, calmer and enjoying the present more! I would recommend her?!?! 💯 PRECENT! Did I? Janie is wonderful! I came to see her for Havening following an extremely bad bout of anxiety. She instantly made me feel at ease and spoke me through the session at length, her calming nature helped me not feel so awkward or anxious about the session itself. She guided me in a gentle and calming way the whole way through and I was in control of the treatment the whole time. The only way I can explain the treatment, is that it's like doing 2 years of therapy in two hours! It really cut to the core of some of my anxiety issues and the best part is that I really didnt need to explain much verbally to Janie, you can keep those things in your mind as you do the treatment and the 'work'. I went back for one more shorter session and it's really helped me. What's even better is that she has taught me ways for me to do self Havening in moments where I feel the anxiety creep up on me. If you are struggling with a particular anxiety or trauma I highly suggest booking a session with Janie. It’s often difficult for us guys to ask for help through challenging periods in our lives, it is so often seen as a sign of weakness. But I have come to realise that just as my car needs a tuneup once in a while, so do I! I met Janie a few months ago and she mentioned a technique called havening which i had never heard of but sounded intriguing. Recently, I came to a point in my life where I was stuck and needed to move forward and remembering the havening I contacted Janie. Janie made me feel very relaxed as she lead me through the process. I was totally in control the whole time and felt safe as I visualised letting go whilst Janie stroked my arms, hands and face. Thank you Janie for a wonderful day! I loved it. I suffer from social anxiety and Janie helped me to relax and was very supportive to me the whole day. I couldnt have wished for a better teacher. She was lovely and very knowledgeable. The attunement was fantastic! I experienced a number of things during it. One of which was seeing strong colours. It felt wonderful. I was doing some self healing before, but Reiki has taken the healing energy I receive up a level for sure. Thank you so much Janie, I thoroughly enjoyed the Reiki 1 course in Cirencester last week.  I went to this course not really knowing what to expect, all I knew was that Reiki had been calling me for quite a while and I had ignored the calls! I decided the time had come to stop ignoring the signs and go with the flow........ delighted to say that Janie is a wonderful person and knowledgeable teacher. Janie very quickly put the group at ease and before long we all gelled together and became a lovely group of people all smiling and hanging off every word Janie said! WOW. Who knew ... not me until I had a Reiki treatment with Jannie. I went in having worked every day for 4+ months and was totally frazzled. I left feeling like I'd actually had a holiday. I have recently completed Reiki 2 with Janie. I really wasn’t sure what to expect before starting Reiki 1, or even if it would actually ‘grab’ me. I very quickly signed up for Reiki 2. The whole thing was amazing, Janie is a fantastic teacher, she is so knowledgable and has a lovely way with her. I've now done 2 courses with Janie (level 1 and level 2 reiki) and I really can't recommend her enough as both a teacher and a reiki practitioner. I first met Janie when I was in a very bad emotional state and went to her for a reiki session. Her abilities, professionalism and genuine care was outstanding - this is also reflected in her teaching style. I've felt my self awareness and sense of connectedness develop considerably throughout both courses.
